Happy New Year!
Speaking of Chinese New Year, what usually comes to mind is delicious cuisine, firecrackers, and dragons.
But did you know? Apart from these things, there is also a traditional custom in ancient China, which involves buying new clothes.
In ancient times, people used to live in very poor conditions, lacking the excess money to purchase new clothes on regular days.
However, during Chinese New Year, the elders would buy new clothes or fabrics for family members.
The meaning behind this tradition is to ward off bad luck in the current year and wish for good luck in the following days. Nowadays, even though most people no longer suffer from that kind of poverty, they still buy new clothes to continue the tradition.
Recently, high-cost feather-made products have also become the primary choice for the New Year, with people particularly liking to give them as presents to showcase their high social status.
Another favored product is textile clothes, such as windproof jackets and gloves. These products can provide extra warmth when combined with different materials. For example, the self-heating vest not only offers the ability to avoid coldness but also maintains the convenience of taking it off at any time.
